GST returns from your own invoices
Bahi Khata builds the GSTR-1 file and a GSTR-3B worksheet from the invoices and bills you already entered. You upload and file on the GST portal.
What it does
- A GST summary for the month or quarter you pick, so you can check your sales and tax before you file.
- The GSTR-1 JSON file, with section CSV files, built from your invoices, ready for the government Returns Offline Tool.
- A GSTR-3B worksheet with tables 3.1, 3.2, 4 and 5 worked out from your invoices and purchase bills, to read and check.
How it works
- Open Finance, then Reports, then GST Returns, and pick the month or quarter.
- Review the GST summary and fix any invoice that looks wrong.
- Download the GSTR-1 JSON file to your computer.
- Import it into the free Returns Offline Tool from the GST portal, which checks the data and flags errors.
- Upload the file on the GST portal, check the figures, then sign and file with your DSC or EVC.
What it does not do
- Bahi Khata does not file your return. Only you can sign it on the GST portal.
- The GSTR-3B worksheet is for reading and checking. You enter GSTR-3B on the portal yourself.
- It does not import GSTR-2B. Check your input tax credit against GSTR-2B on the portal before you claim it.
- It does not offer GSTR-2 filing.

No. It prepares the GSTR-1 file and a GSTR-3B worksheet. You upload the file on the GST portal and sign with your DSC or EVC.
Which period can I build a return for?
You pick the month or quarter on the GST Returns tab, and the summary and files are built for that period.
Is the GSTR-3B worksheet a filed return?
